2.1 channels: The Philips HTS6515 has 2.1 channels of sound, amplified to 5.1 proportions via Ambisound
technology. Add the ability to wall mount this system, and you have the power of 5.1, but with the convenience of less speakers.
iPod dock and USB connect: By connecting your iPod through the integrated dock, you can increase the power of an MP3. The addition of a USB 2.0 link allows you to attach a flash drive, PC, digital camera, or other device, and view JPEG images on your television, or watch MPEG videos.
1080p upconversion: When watching standard DVDs, the DVD player automatically upconverts the resolution to 1080p, giving you an image on par with High Definition.
Dolby Digital and DTS: DTS and Dolby Digital sound decoding technologies take a source with 6 dedicated audio channels, and assigns each one to a respective 5.1 speaker. The HTS6515 replicates that experience through the Ambisound technology. Dolby Pro Logic II also takes any stereo source, and amps it up to 5.1.
HDMI output: Along with an HDMI output, to connect to an HDTV, you also get a component video output, composite video output, MP3 line-in, and USB input.
Plays DivX: You can enjoy DivX video content downloaded from the internet, ranging from DivX 3.11 to DivX 4.x, DivX 5.x, DivX 6.0, and DivX Ultra. You can also view digital video files in the MPEG1 and MPEG2 formats. The DVD player plays discs recorded in DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, Video CD/SVCD, and CD-R/-RW.
